TRANSPLANT DOULA RESOURCES

Code of Ethics

The Transplant Doula™ is an educational, researched-based, and professional organization whose members learn the skills and confidence needed to work as transplant doulas in various settings and serve in multiple capacities. At the heart of this work is a professional relationship that supports diverse individuals, families, and groups with matters of organ failure, organ transplant, and organ donation via a wide range of non-medical support services.

There is no definitive list of services and no fee schedule. However, all transplant doulas professionally trained by The Transplant Doula™ program agree to follow this code of ethics, which establishes guidelines for behavior and priorities for professional work and sets expectations for the principles honored in the relations with patients, other transplant team members, and community.
